Woodworking Squaring Rough Cut Lumber
Just thought I'd show real quick how to effectively square up the edge of rough cut lumber. This lumber is rough cut 1x12. For the most part it is square-ish. But due to the wandering effect of the bandsaw blade, the long edge can be wavy and the edge actually beveled slightly.
By clamping on a straight edge, and running over it with the circular saw, you can kill two birds with one stone, knocking off the wavy edge and cutting a clean bevel.
