Not your typical review, Wood.Work.LIFE. goes over the restoration, results, and value of three different #4 smoothing planes. A classic Stanley Bailey USA made corrugated #4, a Veritas #4 smoothing plane, and Harbor Freight's #4 smoothing plane kit. I really enjoy using handtools, but with two little girls and a wife I don't have a whole lot of time to mess with tools that don't work. These are integral woodworking tools for any shop.
